Time for talks gone, Shaheedi urges for military operation

KARACHI: Majlis Wahdatul Muslimeen (MWM) central leader, Allama Ameen Shaheedi has said that the time for talks is gone, now the option for a military operation is to be utilized – ARY News reports.

Talking to media here on Wednesday, Allama Ameen Shaheedi said that the Pakistan Army is ready for an offensive against militants, but the political leadership of the country is confused.

He stated that talks with militants acting upon foreign agenda are useless and the state will have to make use of force for restoring its writ.

Shaheedi termed Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif's decision of holding a dialogue as disappointing and strongly condemned it.

He added that the Prime Minister is unable to see dead bodies in Karachi and Quetta and claimed that nothing will be achieved through talks with Taliban.
