Top leadership huddle after Islamabad terrorist attack
ISLAMABAD: The top civilian and military leadership met on Monday after terrorist attack on Islamabad district court this morning, ARY News reports.
The meeting chaired by Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif consulted over the issues related with dialogue and ceasefire with Taliban militants.
Army Chief Gen. Raheel Sharif, ISI Chief Lt. Gen Zaheerul Islam, Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali and other top officials attending the top leadership huddle.
Speaking in the meeting Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif said efforts are being made to de-stabilize his government’s efforts for peace with Taliban.
The meeting discussed the matters of national security, the militants' announcement of ceasefire as well as today’s attack on district court in Islamabad.
The Prime Minister and COAS General Raheel Sharif held a one-on-one meeting.
