Rana Faizul Hassan, a social worker, in a petition filed in SHC informed the court that over 50 people in Karachi and Hyderabad have been killed by consuming the toxic liquor in recent incidents.
The petitioner said that the hazardous liquor being sold under the patronage of the police department and the government officials and sought the court action against the patrons of the deadly business.
The court issued notices to IG Police Sindh, provincial excise department and other concerned authorities seeking their reply over the matter.
