LAHORE: Khurram Dastagir Khan, Federal Minister of Commerce, has said that Pakistan will soon import electricity from India, ARY News reports.
Speaking to media here in Lahore, Khurram Dastagir Khan said that both countries have constructed grid stations that will soon be interlinked.
“Trade with India is necessary for economic stability in the country”, Dastagir added.
The commerce minister also said that elections are soon to be held in India and further developments will take place with the new government in the neighboring country.
“Electricity is our need. We will generate it as well as import it from India”, he added.
