Traders killing: ATC awards death sentence to five policemen

KARACHI: The Anti-Terrorism Court has awarded death sentence to five policemen for killing four Chaman-based traders in alleged encounter in 2008, ARY news reported.

The indicted policemen had gunned down four Chaman-based traders  – Haji Mohammad Tahir Achakzai, Obaidullah Khan Tareen, Mohammad Ibrahim Achakzai and Zainuddin Khan Achakzaion pretext of being robbers on December 31, 2008 in an alleged encounter on Khalid Bin Walid Road, Karachi.                                                                    

Those cops awarded death sentence are SHO Anti Car Lifting Cell Malik Irshad, head constable Zahoor Khan, Zahoor Mirza, Noor Muhammad, Zafar Ali.
