QUETTA: A traffic police constable was shot dead by unidentified armed men on Quetta’s Raisani Road on Tuesday morning, ARY News reported.
The constable was going to report for duty when he came under attack, according to the local police.
The identity of the deceased and details about the assailants couldn’t be ascertained immediately.
This is the second incident involving law enforcement official in less than two weeks. Earlier on Jan 06, a policeman was killed while another sustained bullet wounds when unidentified armed men opened fire on them at Sariab road of Quetta.
According to police and rescue sources, the police personnel were on a routine patrol when they came under attack.
A police official said unidentified armed men opened fire at the law enforcement personnel and sped away, leaving a policeman dead, while another with bullet injuries.
