Treason Case challenged in SHC

KARACHI: The treason case against former President and Army Chief of Pakistan General (Retd.) Pervez Musharraf has been challenged in the Sindh High Court (SHC) on Wednesday (today), ARY News reports.

The petition was filed by Dr. Iftikhar Hussain from Human Rights Group of Pakistan. It is stated in the petition that the accused has been shown as the Chief of Army Staff therefore the case should be transferred to an Army Court.

It is also stated that the special bench, hearing the case, is biased.

Federal Law Minister Pervaiz Rasheed, Federal Interior Ministery Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan and other officials have been made a party in the case.
