ISLAMABAD: Chief Prosecutor in treason case against former president Pervez Musharraf has filed a plea seeking the special court to summon the head of the Armed Forces Institute of Cardiology in the court, ARY News reported on Tuesday.
A three-member bench of high court judges headed by Justice Faisal Arab of Sindh High Court hearing treason charges against former military ruler Musharraf.
The government counsel in his petition said that the AFIC be asked how many patients lost their lives during the procedure of angiography.
Pervez Musharraf's lawyer Ahmed Raza Kasuri has said that the head of the AFIC could not be summoned in the court.
The prosecution had earlier submitted an application before the court and raised a number of objections to the report prepared by the medical board of the AFIC.
The medical board in its report had declared the condition of Gen Musharraf as critical and recommended his treatment at a place of his choice.
