Musharraf Trial: Special Court expects Musharraf in hearing today
ISLAMABAD: Special Court will continue the hearing of treason case against former President General Pervez Musharraf here in Islamabad today, ARY News reports on Friday.
The court has started its proceedings of the case earlier. Pervez Musharraf was summoned today by the special tribunal formed by the federal government earlier.
Musharraf was admitted in the Armed Forces Institute of Cardiology (AFIC) on 1st January for heart problem just moments before the hearing was due. He has not appeared on health grounds in the court ever since.
Explosives and rockets were also found earlier by Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) near his farm house at Chak Shehzad near the federal capital.
Strict security measures have been taken by the security agencies on the occasion. A special force of Police has arrived at AFIC to escort Musharraf to the court for the proceeding.
Defense Counsel Ahmad Raza Kasuri had said earlier that they will give a surprise to the nation.
