ISLAMABAD: Special Court, hearing the treason case, has issued non-bailable arrest warrant against former President and Army Chief General (Retd.) Pervez Musharraf in Islamabad on Friday, ARY News reports.
Earlier, the court had reserved its verdict over a plea from the counsels of Musharraf seeking his exemption from appearing in court and delay his indictment in the treason case.
The judgement was announced by the Registrar of the Special Court Abdul Ghani Soomro.
Musharraf has been ordered to appear in the hearing on March 31st.
It was further said by the court that the Interior Ministry should make proper security arrangements for bringing the former President to the court.
Anwar Mansoor, lawyer representing Musharraf, had demanded the screening of security personnel posted for Musharraf's security.
