Treason Trial: Court exempts Musharraf presence for today

ISLAMABAD: The special court conducting treason trial against former president Musharraf on Thursday exempted him from appearing before the court for today due to his illness, ARY News reports. 

The court in its order further said that the matter will be further considered according to the sitution on next hearing of the trial on Monday. 

The court also rejected the arrest plea of Musharraf by the prosecution. 

Former president Pervez Musharraf was taken to AFIC hospital after he felt cardiac problem while on his way to special court for treason hearing today. 

The court had ordered production of former military ruler Pervez Musharraf at any cost and warned action against him as per the law in case he failed to appear before the court in hearing of the treason case against him.
