Trial against Musharraf only is a conspiracy against nation: Altaf Hussain
KARACHI: Chief of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) has said putting all the burden of implementing Martial Law or declaring emergency only on former president Gen. Rtd. Pervaiz Musharraf while leaving his partners free is not only the conspiracy against one man rather it’s a conspiracy against the nation, ARY News reported.
Altaf Hussain while speaking to the Rabita Committee and other party leaders on Monday said instead of initiating the case from November 3, 2007, the trial under Article six should also include circumstances surrounding the October 12, 1999 coup.
He said that those who are declaring Musharraf alone responsible for the emergency, and want to him to be hanged, are unfair and unjust in their demands.
The MQM Chief said that the case against Musharraf is nothing but a conspiracy to divert attention of common masses from the real issues and problems of the country.
Referring to his Sunday statement Altaf Hussain said that Sindh two is a reality, and would come into shape either formally or constitutionally.
Stating the example of Sindh two, he said as Karachi is divided into different districts namely East, West, Central and South but if one asked person living in any of the district about belonging, that person will ultimately reply with Karachi.
Altaf Hussain questioned that why people taking the demand of rights for deprived people negatively.
