Tributes to Haji Abdul Razzak Yaqoob on his second death anniversary

The services of late Haji Abdul Razzak Yaqoob in the filed of social welfare and propagation of the teachings of renowned sufis and saints by means of QTV can never be forgotten.

For the heightening of his stages in the hereafter prayer ceremonies were held at the shrines of Hazrat Khawaja Ghareeb Nawaz (R.A), Hazrat Mehboob Ilahi (R.A), Hazrat Nizamuddin (R.A), Baba Fareed Ganj Shakar (R.A) and several others.

Similar ceremonies were held at different places in Karachi, where the attendees prayed for eternal peace be granted to the soul of Haji Abdul Razzak Yaqoob.

On the occasion, social and political figures as well as commoners from within and without the country paid tributes to the late founding chairman of the ARY Network, remembering his services for the country and its people.

Mr. Yaqoob was a kind-hearted man, who always treated his employees like his family members, while he was also a die-hard devotee of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), sufis and saints.

He was known for his philanthropy and extensive social work and was highly respected by Pakistanis around the world.

Haji Abdul Razzak Yaqoob was born in Surat city of India in 1944. The late chairman of the ARY Group migrated to Pakistan along with his family at the time of partition, while he moved to Dubai in 1969.

Mr. Yaqoob started business with a limited capital; however his hard work, untiring efforts and dedication helped his business expand manifolds.

Abdul Razzak Yaqoob revered as ‘Haji Sahib’ founded the ARY Group in 1972, while he also served as the chairman of World Memon Organization.

Mr. Yaqoob breathed his last on February 21, 2014, in London.
