TTP Ameer gunned down in Karachi

KARACHI: Ittehad Town Ameer of Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) was allegedly gunned down in an encounter at Karachi’s Musharraf Colony area whereas his accomplice managed to flee, ARY News reports on Sunday.

According to police, the Taliban commander opened fire at them during a raid. He was injured in the retaliatory fire whereas his partner managed to escape.

The militant was rushed to Civil Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

SP CID Mazhar Mashwani said that that the militant was involved in serious criminal offence. He added that raids are being carried out for the arrest of his partners.
