TTP lays demands for ceasefire

PESHAWAR: Spokesperson of the banned outfit, Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), Shahidullah Shahid has presented the demands for a ceasefire – ARY News reports.

Shahidullah Shahid demanded the Government to quit the arrests of TTP members and their killings in encounters by the law enforcement agencies (LEAs).

He stated that if the Government committee for peace talks insures Taliban nominated committee of preventing these happenings, then TTP is ready for a ceasefire agreement.

The negotiations process between the Government of Pakistan and TTP had halted a few days ago in realm of the killings of 23 Frontier Constabulary (FC) men.

Militants had abducted these FC troops from a border post in 2010, since then they were held captives by TTP.
