Arrested accused Shamrez Khan was providing funds to TTP-Mehsud Group and was involved in extortion and robberies in the city, police sources said.
The arrested terrorist’s gang comprised of 12 members of TTP, four of which were killed in encounters with the law enforcement agencies, police officials said.
Accused Shamrez Khan during the interrogation said that earlier he was arrested by the Manghopir police but he escaped after greasing palms of the policemen.
He also disclosed that in the past after committing crimes in Karachi he usually fleeing to Dubai via Iran route.
