ISLAMABAD: Federal Information Minister Pervez Rasheed has said that the peace talks offer by Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) have to be taken seriously but we should see if they want to abide by the constitution, ARY News reports on Monday.
Speaking to local and foreign media, Pervez Rasheed said that the government should realize that whether the peace talk offers by Taliban are a political ploy or they are ready to accept the constitution.
He added that the militant outfit has attacked schools, worship places and cities and they have to explain their atrocities. He further said that Taliban have claimed that they are serious in holding talks and had accepted that a delegation had come for the peace process.
He said the peace offers by the outlawed unit should be taken seriously.
