TTP spokesperson denies statement of persisting assaults on Pakistan Army
PESHAWAR: Spokesperson of Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), Shahidullah Shahid has denied the media reports mentioning TTP to continue attacking Pakistan Army – ARY News reports.
According to details, Shahidullah Shahid also denied using the word Khalifa (caliph) for the TTP supremo, Mullah Fazlullah, saying that the term was an innovation by media itself. He added that Mullah Fazlullah is the Ameer of Pakistani Taliban.
The TTP spokesperson mentioned that attacking the Pakistan Army continuously was not included in the interview given by him. He added that the magazine had violated journalistic values by quoting beyond facts.
Yesterday, media reports had quoted that Shahid as saying that Mullah Fazlullah is the Khalifa, whereas Mullah Umer is the Ameer ul Momineen of Taliban.
He was further quoted mentioning that TTP will continue to assault Pakistan Army for its frontline position in the 'War on Terror'.
Yet today, banned outfit TTP claimed the responsibility of Razzaqabad bomb blast that killed at least 13 policemen and injured over 50 others here in Karachi.
