TTP's Asmatullah Muawiya greets Gov't decision of dialogue with Taliban
KARACHI: Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) Punjab supremo, Molana Asmatullah Muawiya has said that the announcement of holding negotiations by the Prime Minister, Nawaz Sharif is welcomed in every way – ARY News reports.
According to details, Asmatullah Muawiya in his exclusive talk with ARY News Peshawar Bureau Chief, Zia ul Haq, from an undisclosed location, told that Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and Awami National Party (ANP) want to push Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PMLN) into a war that it never witnessed, but PMLN needs to demonstrate seriousness now.
After the announcement of the committee to hold dialogue with Taliban, the TTP leader told that a meeting of the supreme council of the organization has also been called to decide on talks with the Government, now it is the duty of the Government to consider this seriously.
He added that Molana Fazlur Rahman, Imran Khan, Munawwar Hassan and Molana Sami ul Haq can play an important role for talks between Taliban and the Government.
Asmatullah Muawiya urged the Government to form an independent committee comprising of the members from the parties of the above mentioned chiefs including PMLN.
Earlier to this Taliban spokesperson, Shahidullah Shahid had told that the meeting of the supreme council of Taliban is being summoned to review the situation after Government's announcement to hold talks.
