Turkey’s Erdogan felicitates Imran Khan on election victory

ISLAMABAD: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan made a telephone call to Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Imran Khan on Tuesday.

He felicitated him on victory of his party in general election 2018 and expressed well wishes for upcoming democratic government in Pakistan.

Both leaders agreed to start new relation era between the two brotherly Islamic countries.

It is pertinent to note here that the PTI has emerged as the largest political party in the country after the July 25 general elections, winning 115 of the 270 National Assembly seats on which the elections were held.

The party now claims that it has the required number of strength to form government both in Punjab and center.

Imran Khan is likely to take oath as country’s prime minister on August 11.
