TV channel faked ‘dog meat’ news to get ratings: police

Police said a private TV channel forced drug addicts to act like butchers, selling dog meat, in order to hog the limelight and glean television ratings.

They said the alleged butchers were actually drug addicts who were arrested from Ibrahim Hyderi area. “The two drug addicts – Arshad and Imran – were forced to slaughter dogs by a TV channel reporter to get ratings for the channel,” added the police.
