Ever wondered what rich and famous do in their spare time having the mean for extravagant hobbies such as buying luxury cars or travelling around the globe. Interestingly the most common hobby is not a extravagant display of wealth but rather philanthropy.

This is according to a recent report by Wealth-X, a market research firm that focuses on ultra-high net worth (UHNW) individuals with assets worth $30 million or more, which gives a sneak peek at their top passions, interests, and hobbies.

Philanthropy is considered the most popular hobby, with more than one-third of the world’s wealthiest people pursuing charitable activities.

This may comes as no surprise due to endeavors such as The Giving Pledge, a promise started by billionaires Bill Gates and Warren Buffett, to commit more than half of their wealth to philanthropic causes during their lifetime.
