According to Levis sources, the two persons were brothers and were residents of Helmand province of Afghanistan. They also said that that they were on-duty police officers.
The attackers easily escaped from the scene after carrying out the attack, Levis stated.
The bodies of the two cops were shifted to Civil Hospital for further procedures.
Further investigation of the shooting incident is underway.
