Two cops killed by firing outside imambargah

RAWALPINDI: Two police officers, Constable Imran and Zaheer Abbas,  were killed whereas one cop and a by stander were injured when unknown terrorists opened fire at an imambargah in Dhok Sadhiyan area here on Monday, ARY News reports.

The cops were performing their duty outside Qasr-e-Shabbir imambargah when terrorists opened fire at them in which Constable Imran and Zaheer Abbas were killed whereas one other cop and a by stander were injured in the process.

Regional Police Officer (RPO) Umar Akhtar Laleka, while speaking to ARY News reports, said that the cops were on duty outside the imambargah due to security concerns when the incident took place.

Security has been beefed up in Islamabad and Rawalpindi after the incident.
