KARACHI: In continuation of targeted raids by law enforcement agencies against criminals, Rangers’ personnel nabbed at least 20 suspects during a search operation in Haji Camp, Sultanabad, ARY News reported on Tuesday.
A dacoit was also gunned down during an encounter with law enforcers in Baldia Town. The alleged dacoit was affiliated with gang war elements.
According to Rangers spokesman, unknown armed men opened fire on Rangers personnel near railway track in Mujahid Colony. In retaliation fire by the Rangers, one of the criminals was killed.
Another police encounter was held within the limits of Kalri Police Station and a suspect was arrested in injured condition. Police also arrested a criminal involved in several targeted killing from New Karachi Industrial Area and recovered arms from his possession.
Police said a man was also killed in firing incident near Khuda Ki basti in Surjani Town when unidentified armed culprits sprayed him with bullets.
