LANDI KOTAL: At least two civilians were wounded when an explosive device went off in Landi Kotal’s main market on Friday.
According to officials of the Khyber Agency political administration, the blast occurred in Zakhakhel Adda Rangra market of Landi Kotal, a small town of the Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA). As a result, two civilians sustained injuries while three vehicles were partially damaged, officials said.
The injured have been shifted to a nearby hospital for medical attenddance, the officials said.
After being informed of the blast, a contingent of security forces reached the site of the blast and cordoned it off for security purposes. The forces also initiated a search operation in the adjoining areas to look for culprits involved in the crime.
There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the blast.
