KARACHI: Two persons were killed and eight others injured in firing and other incidents of violence in Karachi, ARY News reported on Thursday. 

Unknown armed men shot dead a man Akbar in Ajmer Nagri area in North Karachi, police officials said. 

A policeman Manzoor, lost his life in shooting incident in Orangi Town's Bihar Colony. In an incident of firing  in D.C. East office in Gulshan e Iqbal two persons were injured. The incident said to be result of a property dispute.

In other incidents at Ayisha Manzil, North Nazimabad, Landi Kotal and Korangi areas of Karachi four persons were injured. 

In an encounter with Rangers personnel at Northern Bypass near Manghopir, a suspect was killed, and another escaped from the scene. A klashnikov was also captured. According to Rangers sources the suspect was linked with a banned militant group. 

Moreover, paramilitary Rangers launched search operation in Musharraf Colony and arrested scores of suspects during house to house search. 

Around 400 rangers personnel participated in the search operation.
