According to details, a speeding truck rammed into a truck coming from opposite direction near Adda Bakhshan Khan at Bahawalpur Road leaving two persons named Aslam and Manzoor dead on the spot, whereas another man named Faisal was seriously wounded.
The two deceased were residents of Hasilpur and Cheechawatni.
According to witnesses the incident took place due to the negligence of the speeding truck’s driver. The driver managed to escape from the scene following the accident.
Rescue 1122 teams arrived at the scene and shifted the bodies and the wounded person to a nearby hospital.
Police has launched investigation of the incident.
