Two members of Hazara community shot dead in Quetta
QUETTA: At least two members of the Hazara community were killed while a police official sustained injuries when unidentified assailants opened fire on them on Sunday in Quetta.
Police said the firing incident took place near the Western Bypass of the provincial capital. The deceased have been identified as Muhammad Ali and Muhammad Zaman.
The dead and injured were shifted to Bolan Medical Complex, Quetta, a police official said, adding that the incident appeared to be a targeted attack as per initial investigation.
Following the attack, a contingent of police personnel reached the crime scene and began investigation by gathering evidence.
This is the second armed attack targeting members of the Hazara Community of Quetta in less than a month. Earlier this month, a member of the Hazara Community was shot dead while another injured when unidentified assailants opened fire on their vehicle near the Kandahari Bazaar.
