LAHORE: Two children drown in a canal while bathing in Harbanspura area, ARY News reported Thursday.
Two brothers, five-year-old Babar and seven-year-old Bilal, had left for swimming in canal in Harbanspura, but they never returned home.
When their families began search, they found outfits of the boys near the canal. The Rescue 1122 team was called to the site who started searching the missing boys.
Body of one of the boys was recovered from the canal while search for the other one was still underway.
Several incidents of drowning have been reported in the canal due to lack of safety measures by the district administration.
