Two more cases registered against Dr. Tahirul Qadri in Punjab

 LAHORE: Pakistan Awami Tehreek chief Dr. Tahirul Qadri on late Saturday saw two more cases registered against him for inciting people, ARY News reported.

The number of first information reports (FIRs) against Dr. Qadri reached four in Punjab. Of the total cases, two were registered in Faisal Town, one in Naseerabad Police Station and one Data Darbar Police Station.

The PAT chief is nominated for charges of murder and plotting a murder in the three registered cases. While the fourth case is filed under treason charges and inciting people.

The government moved to take action against Dr. Qadri following series of protests by PAT workers and supporters against the government in Punjab.

PAT leader Raheeq Abbasi warned the government of strong workers’ reaction if any step was taken to arrest Dr. Tahirul Qadri.
