Two MQM MPAs among 29 injured in grenade attack

The miscreants also opened fire on MQM’s membership camp, stirring panic in the area.

Two banned militant outfits – TTP-Jamatul Ahrar and Jundullah – claimed responsibilities of the attack.

A few of party’s MNA and MPAs were also present at the camp. MQM leader Wasay Jalil told ARY News that two Karachi-based MPAs – Muhammad Hussain and Muhammad Abdullah – were injured in the attack. Four to five MQM workers also sustained wounds, he added.

Sources told that two of the injured were in critical condition. All the injured were moved to a nearby hospital.

Police and Rangers contingent reached the site after the incident and began probe.
