Two Pakistan Navy personnel martyred in Jiwani ambush
KARACHI: At least two Pakistan Navy personnel were martyred and three others injured in a firing incident in Jiwani town of Balochistan this evening.
According to the spokesperson of Pakistan Navy, unknown assailants opened fire at a vehicle of Pak Navy in the coastal town of Jiwani.
The injured were shifted to a hospital in Karachi for medical treatment.
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan and Chief Minister Balochistan Nawab Sanaullah Zehri have condemned the incident.
Sources said the Navy personnel were bringing Iftari while the assailants waiting for them opened fire on them.
The assailants escaped from the scene of the ambush after the incident.
Security agencies have cordoned off the area and an operation has been underway to hunt the attackers.
