MITHI: Sufferings of drought-hit Tharparkar victims are still relentless as two more people including a child breathed their last in the desert region of Sindh, ARY News reported Monday.
The death toll in the district is continuing to increase as a child and a woman died today (Monday). Locals say there was no improvement in the famine situation, thus adding to their miseries.
Of the total 243 deaths, 133 of them are children alone.
Denizens of the district moaned that relief activities were going at a snail’s pace while relief goods could not be dispatched in most of the far-off areas.
