As police personnel intensified their operation against street crime in Karachi, encounters with terrorists and criminals took lives of two policemen while a target killer was also killed.
A policeman Muhammad Marfat was killed while Mehtab was injured when robbers opened fire on law enforcement personnel at Khalid Bin Waleed Road.
Police reached to the spot when robbers were busy in looting valuables from people. The robbers fire at the police and later escaped from the scene.
In a similar incident in Orangi Town’s Banaras locality, a policeman Sajid was killed and Qadeer was injured in a shootout with criminals.
Target killer killed
A target killer namely Gul Haider was killed in an alleged encounter with police in Baldia Town. Police sources claimed that Haider was a criminal wanted to police.
