According to SSP Malir Rao Anwaar, an exchange of fire took place between the law enforcers and the robbers, who were busy in robbing people, in the jurisdiction of Sukhan Police Station.
Two dacoits were killed in the firing whereas ASI Saeed and Constable Ejaz were severely injured. The cops were rushed to Jinnah Hospital where the succumbed to their injuries.
The bodies were shifted to the morgue after identification process.
