Law enforcement agencies continued their ongoing operation in the city, in a bid to cleanse it of nefarious criminal elements, by carrying out operations in different areas.
According to details, the two target killers were apprehended from the Orangi and Baldia areas of Karachi. Police said that suspects Riyaz Butt and Sharjeel have confessed to being involved in 24 and 12 murders respectively. Weapons and a hand grenade were obtained from the suspects.
After a few hours had elapsed since the press conference of the SSP CTD, the CTD office in Karachi’s area of Saudabad. Two people were injured in the attack, as the office was also damaged. Police authorities stated that the attack could have been a reactionary move from terrorists, in response to the CTD’s operations.
Earlier during the day, Rangers personnel had taken into custody a married couple who looted people, and handed them over to the police. Weapons and stolen cash was recovered from the suspects, who had been picked up from city’s North Karachi area.
