Two ‘terrorists’ gunned down, impostor cop arrested in Karachi

According to details, two suspected terrorists were gunned down in Manghopir area during an ‘encounter’ with police, officials said.

The cops also seized weapons and bomb preparing apparatus from the deceased suspects.

In another raid, Rangers claimed to have arrested a ‘target killer’ involved in the killing of eight people. The suspect was said to be linked with a political party.

A spokesperson with the Rangers said that the suspect named Asim was involved in setting fire to vehicles during strikes in the megapolis and has twice visited India.

The suspect was given into 90 days custody of the Rangers, after he was produced before an Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) today.

Meanwhile, officials of the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) arrested a fake cop from city’s MA Jinnah Road and seized a weapon from him.

The impostor cop used to coerce money from citizens, who also possessed a fake press card.
