Two toddlers burnt in India arson attack
According to an Indian news agency, the father of the two toddlers identified as 2.5 year old Vaibhav and 11 month old Divya, Jitendra claimed that members of Thakur community attacked the house of the family located in a village at India’s Haryana state at nearly 2am.
He added that he had a quarrel with the members of the upper caste.
He said that he smelled the petrol that was being poured into the house. He added that he tried to wake his wife but the fire had already started to engulf the house.
However, he and his wife managed to survive but the children were killed on the spot.
Jitendra said that police is yet to file a case against the mob involved in the arson attack.
Police said that security in the village has been beefed up following the incident.
