KARACHI: Two persons were wounded in different firing incidents across the city while a Lyari gangster was shot dead in a police encounter here in Karachi, ARY News reports on Tuesday.
According to police, a person was injured by firing during a robbery attempt at Neelum Colony area of Clifton whereas another person was wounded when unknown gunmen opened fire at him near Pir Baba Ground at Baldia Ittehad Town.
On the other hand, an alleged Lyari gangster was killed in an encounter at City Railway Colony at Queens Road.
Sources reported that police signalled two persons, on a motorcycle, to stop due to which the motorcyclists opened fire at the police force. One of the gangster was killed in the retaliatory fire whereas his accomplice managed to escape.
According to police, the killed criminal was involved in the Lyari Gang War.
