TOP NEWS

Sources told that PML-N workers chanted slogans and allegedly opened fire at Imran Khan’s container. A clash took place between the activists of the two parties as a result two persons were injured.

The law enforcement agencies were nowhere to be seen during the ruckus between the two political groups.

PTI Chairman Imran Khan, while speaking exclusively to ARY News, said that stones were pelted and firing was carried out at a peaceful march. He warned the Sharif brothers that a First Information Report (FIR) will be filed against them if anything happens to him.

“Police is giving protection to the people who threw the stones”, Khan said.

Imran Khan has appealed his workers to stay calm.

President Awami Muslim League (AML) Shaikh Rasheed Ahmed confirmed the firing incident. He added that he can identify the persons who opened fire at PTI Chairman.

Chairman Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) Dr. Tahir-ul-Qadri condemned the incident.

PTI leader Dr. Shireen Mazari said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif should prepare his resignation and the march towards Islamabad will continue.

Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Vice President of PTI, said that the peaceful march will not move forward till security has been ensured.

PTI leader Jahangir Tareen said that Police was a silent spectator of the incident.

It should be noted that the political situation of the country is already tense amidst the long marches being taken out by PTI and Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) towards Islamabad.
