UAE minister Shiekh Nayhan bin Mubarak calls on PM Nawaz Sharif

They discussed a range of issues including bilateral relations between the two countries. Sheikh Nayhan expressed his best wishes for the health of Sharif after his recent operation in the United Kingdom.

Sharif said that his government is working tirelessly to bring the country on the right track and attain durable peace, sustainable economic growth and massive infrastructure development.

He apprised him of the development projects underway across the country under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) which will transform the lives of millions of people across the region.  Sharif said that he as personally overseeing the project which included motorways and railway tracks worth more than Rs900 billion. 

He said the LNG deal will help eradicate the shortage of gas in the country by next year. Moreover, Pakistan has launched a successful Zarb-e-Azb operation against terrorists in the country, and also an operation in Karachi was launched with consultation of all the stake holders which has helped in restoration of peace in the city.

Sheikh Nayhan appreciated the efforts of the government and has made considerable progress in the last three years under the leadership of Nawaz Sharif. Furthermore, he said that Pakistan is very a lucrative and feasible country for foreign investment.

He was earlier given a rousing welcome by Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif upon arrival at the Lahore airport. Shahbaz Sharif  said that there are strong brotherly relations between Pakistan and the UAE and the cooperation  in different social sectors is encouraging and appreciable.
