Umar Gul wins T-20 Performance of the Year award

DUBAI: Pakistani pacer Umar Gul has been awarded the T-20 Performance of the Year award in the International Cricket Council (ICC) Awards here on Friday – ARY News reports.

He was rewarded for his outstanding performance against South Africa in the T20 International in which he took five wickets and conceded only six runs.

Australian Test Captain Michael Clarke was declared the ICC Cricketer of the Year and Test Cricketer of the Year. Sri Lankan wicket keeper batsman Kumar Sangakkara was announced as One Day Cricketer of the Year. 

Cheteshwar Pujara of India was named as ICC Emerging Cricketer of the Year. Indian Captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni was given the People’s Choice award.

Richard Kettleborough of England was declared as ICC Umpire of the Year.
