ISLAMABAD: Former British Prime Minister and the UN Special Envoy for Global Education Gordon Brown, called on Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif here on Saturday.
Brown, who has been in Pakistan on the invitation of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, will be address the Youth Forum.
Federal Minister for Finance Ishaq Dar and Punjab Governor Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar were also present during the meeting.
After the meeting speaking to the media former British prime minister Brown said that no country could attain economic development without education. He highlighted the importance of the girls education.
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif said that his government focussing on promotion of good standards in education. He said for economic progress and job opportunities education is must adding that Pakistan's literacy rate has reached to 58 percent
