UN Envoy on Afghan Affairs meets Molana Samiul Haq
RAWALPINDI: Special Envoy of the United Nations (UN) Secretary General Ban Ki-moon on Afghan Affairs, Jan Kubis has met Jamiat Ulema Islam-Sami (JUIS) Chief, Molana Samiul Haq at his residence here on Tuesday and discussed with him political affairs both in Afghanistan and Pakistan – ARY News reports.
The two personalities also exchanged views pertaining to forthcoming presidential elections in Afghanistan and situation before and after the elections.
Earlier to this, Iranian Ambassador Ali Raza Haqiqaan also met the JUIS Chief at his residence and expressed his concerns over tensed situation at Iran-Balochistan border and the abduction of Iranian border guards.
Molana Samiul Haq expressed his fears that some anti-Islam forces are acting on a agenda to hinder friendly ties between two neighboring Muslim states.
He stated that the governments of both the countries should play their full role to fail all such conspiracies.
