ABU DHABI: Fast bowler of national cricket team Umar Gul has been dropped from the ongoing test series against Sri Lanka for the reason of not being fit, ARY News reported.
Gul has taken part in the physical training session for one week with official physio-cum-trainer Dale Naylor. Following the training session the team management has decided to send Umar Gul back to Pakistan.
The team management has advised Gul to continue training in National Cricket Academy, Lahore and to take part in domestic matches too.
Gul's last Test for Pakistan was in South Africa in February 2013, after which he was sidelined by injury then he recalled to the ODI squad ahead of the third match off 5-match series and also included in the test squad.
