ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Monday said that extraordinary steps required to meet the extraordinary situation, ARY News reports.

Speaking in the federal cabinet meeting‚ Sharif expressed his government's resolve to establish supremacy of law in the country at any cost.
 
He said all state institutions will have to play their role to curb terrorism and hold criminals accountable. 

He said supremacy of law is inevitable for establishment of a society based on justice and equality.

The meeting discussed the national security policy and decided to continue debate in its next meeting.

Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali given detailed briefing to the federal cabinet about contacts with Taliban and the new internal security policy.
