US Consul General inaugurates LESCO power distribution control center
LAHORE: United States (US) Consul General, Nina Maria has said that the energy crisis in Pakistan has affected economy of the state, whilst the USAID is fully cooperating Pakistan to overcome this crisis – ARY News reports.
She was addressing the inaugural ceremony of power distribution control center at the head office of LAHORE ELECTRIC SUPPLY COMPANY (LESCO).
During her address, Nina Maria told that the electricity transmission system will be improved with the installation of new meters and the up-gradation of grid-stations. She told that the power shortfall will also decrease subsequently.
The US Consul General praised the efforts of the current Government for eradicating energy crisis, saying that it has made serious efforts and kicked-off new power projects in Pakistan, with the accomplishment of which the situation will be improved.
Moreover, the LESCO Chief, Arshad Rafiq also addressed the ceremony.
