US drone attack kills 5 in North Waziristan
MIRANSHAH: At least five people were killed after a US drone fired six missiles on a house located in Dargah Mandi area of North Waziristan – ARY News reports.
North Waziristan – where operation Zarb-e-Azb is underway, while on the other hand US drone strikes have also been initiated once again. Earlier today, US drone fired six missiles at a vehicle and a house located in a village named Toor Khel in Dargah Mandi area, consequently destroying both.
As a result, 5 casualties have been reported so far, while the number is feared to increase.
Locals are busy recovering the dead bodies from the debris of the house on their own, while US spy planes still flying in the vicinity.
Earlier to this, 16 people were killed in two drone attacks on June 11, which was the first attack after 6 months.
However, today drone strike is the first one during the ongoing military offensive Zarb-e-Azb in North Waziristan.
