US supports Pakistan Gov't stance to establish its writ: Olson

ISLAMABAD: US Ambassador to Pakistan, Richard Olson has said that the United States supports Government of Pakistan's strive to establish its writ, yet it has concerns over the movement of terrorists at the Pak-Afghan border – ARY News reports.

Briefing the journalists here on Friday, the US Ambassador told that during the strategic talks Pak-US leadership discussed affairs pertaining to enhancing bilateral economic cooperation.

He said that the US worked for improving the economy of Pakistan and ending energy crisis under the Kerry-Lugar Bill, however he told that nothing could be said about the future of this bill, the US Congress had approved it.

Richard Olson told that the US authorities also discussed affairs relating to Afghanistan with Pakistani leadership during the Pak-US strategic talks.

He claimed that America is pursuing the policy of non-interference in Afghanistan.

Moreover, Olson told that Dr Shakeel Afridi's issue did not come under discussion by the authorities from both the states.
